First tests with the prototype.

3 • The installation during its starting phase. The mist threads begin to travel through the enclosure. Their visibility is enhanced by the LED spotlights and by the ultra-black background.

5 • View of the mist generator module. The compressors sit on the top. The mist generators themselves can be seen on the bottom; they are immersed in water. The 64 vinyl tubes are connected to the honeycomb panel intake by a streamlined manifold. The loudspeakers are not installed in this picture (see Fig. 7).
6 • Close-up of the compressors. Each compressor is made of three waterproof, silent micro-fans. The middle one is still and plays the role of a stator. The two other revolve in opposite directions. They create a pressure differential that drives the mist through the tubes and in the enclosure.
7 • Another view of the mist generator module. The loudspeakers can be seen in front of the compressors.

9 • View of the honeycomb panel air intake. The role of the honeycomb is to divide the air flow into a large number of laminar micro-streams, so as to allow the mist to maintain its configurations as long as possible. The light comes from the LED spotlights that are installed at the other ed of the enclosure.

11 • Array of 81 silent, waterproof micro-fans. The separation in two parts allows to limit transportation costs. The role of this device is to extract the air from the enclosure, so as to generate the air flows that crosses the intake honeycomb panels..
